With June right around the corner, Single Stone on Mission Street is here to help you understand the three GORGEOUS birthstones June babies get to enjoy!
Pearls
Pearls are probably the most common stone out of the three June birthstones, however, it is one of the most unique. Pearls are so special because they are the only gems from living sea creatures and require absolutely no faceting or polishing to reveal their natural beauty. Pearls come in many shapes, sizes, and colors and they are gorgeous in almost any setting. One of the best characteristics of pearls is that they can be worn casually or dressed up, making them the perfect gift for the one you love

Alexandrite
Alexandrite is an extremely rare stone from the Chrysoberyl family and was discovered in Russia in 1831. The stone is green in daylight and transitions to a purplish-red color in flourescent or incandescent light. The Alexandrite’s cameleon-like qualities make this stone an amazing addition to any woman’s jewelry collection.
Moonstone
The moonstone was given it’s name for the Roman’s belief that the stone’s appearance changed with the phases of the moon. Part of the family of minerals called Feldspar, Moonstones occur in many igneous and metamorphic rocks. Moonstones come in many colors such as green, blue, peach, and champagne. Their soft colors give jewelry an understated elegance that cannot be touched.
